Malt Liquor/Fortified Wine Policy Database

October 6, 2009

The Alcohol Epidemiology Program at the University of Minnesota now has a useful database on local policies to restrict high-alcohol malt liquor & fortified wine – two particularly problematic types of alcohol beverages.

Policy formats include license conditions, alcohol impact areas, moratorium zones, and voluntary agreements.  Types of restrictions include limits on container sizes, banning of chilled containers, etc.

The site also features a literature chart of extant malt liquor studies.
